Users encounter difficulties when navigating the calendar quickly, scanning pages for relevant information, and editing details on the summary page of the hotel booking mobile website. These challenges result in a frustrating user experience, potential errors, and increased likelihood of booking abandonment.
First, I conducted a competitive benchmark analysis to identify industry trends and best practices. Then, I conducted surveys and user interviews to gather insights into user preferences and pain points. Usability tests were conducted to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the interface.
Using the gathered data, I created a customer journey map and user flow to visualise the user's experience and identify areas for improvement. Sketching and mid-fidelity prototyping allowed for quick iterations and feedback. Wireframes were developed to establish the structure and layout of the website.
Finally, A/B testing was conducted to compare different design variations and validate design decisions. These steps ensured a thorough and iterative design process that prioritised user needs and preferences.
