Project Overview

Project Overview

This case study presents a concept project for a hotel booking mobile website, developed as part of my UX Design course at the UX Institute of Design. With a focus on user experience (UX) design principles and best practices, this case study aims to demonstrate my understanding and application of UX methodologies in a real-world context.

For this project, I designed and evaluated a hotel booking mobile website concept, aiming to provide users with a seamless and intuitive experience throughout the booking process. The primary objective was to enhance user satisfaction, streamline the booking journey, and encourage conversions. By applying UX research, user-centered design techniques, and usability testing, I aimed to create a user-centric and efficient mobile website

My Process

My Process

First, I conducted a competitive benchmark analysis to identify industry trends and best practices. Then, I conducted surveys and user interviews to gather insights into user preferences and pain points. Usability tests were conducted to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the interface.

Using the gathered data, I created a customer journey map and user flow to visualise the user's experience and identify areas for improvement. Sketching and mid-fidelity prototyping allowed for quick iterations and feedback. Wireframes were developed to establish the structure and layout of the website.

Finally, A/B testing was conducted to compare different design variations and validate design decisions. These steps ensured a thorough and iterative design process that prioritised user needs and preferences.

The Result

The Result

As a result of this project, I successfully developed a hotel booking mobile website concept that prioritized user-centered design principles and incorporated various UX methodologies. The project received positive feedback and validation through usability testing and A/B testing.

I am proud to have achieved a remarkable 90% overall grade from the UX Institute of Design, reflecting my proficiency in applying UX principles, conducting research, creating intuitive interfaces, and delivering a high-quality user experience. This accomplishment demonstrates my commitment to excellence in UX design and sets a strong foundation for future projects in the field.
